Dr. Isabel Van De Keere is the founder and CEO of Immersive Rehab, a digital health startup that offers personalized neurorehabilitation programs within high-end virtual reality. Her startup came about after she had a long neurorehabilitation period herself, due to a work accident. The interactive VR includes upper limb exercises, fine motor skills, and balance training, improving patient outcomes, and reducing waiting times to access rehab.
She has an MSc background in electro-mechanical engineering. And as a Doctor in Biomedical Engineering and Biomaterials Science, Isabel is an experienced healthcare technology innovator with extensive knowledge as a Product Strategist and Manager, Scientist and Academic, Product Designer, Experimentalist, and Collaborator across a multitude of disciplines.
She’s the nominee and winner of over fifteen awards, including being chosen as one of the New Radicals 2018 by Nesta And The Observer, Winner of Cambridge University CUTEC TVC Startup Competition 2018, and Tech4Good Awards Finalist. And passionate about healthcare technologies and digital health, immersive healthcare technologies, tech for good, social entrepreneurship, and promoting diversity in tech.
